Brief introduction of silicon carbide brick

Silicon carbide brick is a high-grade refractory made of sic as the main raw material. Silicon carbide brick has a series of excellent properties such as high strength at room temperature and high temperature, large thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient, good thermal shock resistance, excellent high temperature wear resistance, and strong chemical corrosion resistance. It is widely used in iron and steel industry, nonferrous metallurgy, petrochemical industry, electric power, ceramics and aerospace fields.

Clay-bonded silicon carbide bricks

The clay bonded silicon carbide brick is composed of coarse, medium and fine silicon carbide graded according to the particle size. It is dried and mixed evenly before adding clay, which is pressed into shape with a brick press. After 2-4 days of drying, the bricks are fired in the tunnel kiln at 1400 ℃. The clay bonded silicon carbide brick has high thermal conductivity, small coefficient of thermal expansion, thermal shock resistance and good wear resistance.

High alumina silicon carbide brick

The high alumina silicon carbide brick is made by adding 30% fine powder into the steel billet, the final firing temperature is 1370-1480 ℃, and the holding time is 6-8 hours. The high alumina silicon carbide brick has good thermal shock resistance, good thermal conductivity and high strength.

Corundum silicon carbide brick

Corundum silicon carbide brick is made of brown corundum as aggregate, 10% silicon carbide fine powder added, phosphoric acid as binder, pressed by a brick press, dried and fired at a high temperature at 1450 ℃. The corundum silicon carbide brick has high strength, good abrasion resistance, strong slag corrosion resistance and good thermal shock resistance.
