Product description of silica brick
Silicon bricks are the most important bricks used in float glass kilns. For large glass kilns, silica bricks are mainly used for the top arch, breast wall, front and rear end walls of the melting section and working section, the top arch of the regenerator and the upper partition wall of the regenerator.
Application of silica brick
Silica content of silica brick for glass kiln is 96-98%. Its density is 2.35-2.38g/cm3. It has high structural strength at high temperature, such as high load softening temperature (1640~1700 ℃) and low creep rate. The absorption of a small amount of alkali does not reduce the structural strength of the kiln roof except for very slight melting corrosion.
Features of silica brick
- Stable volume at high temperature.
- The liquid glass is slightly polluted.
- Resistance to chemical attack.
- Small bulk density can reduce the weight of furnace body.
