Refractory Mullite Brick with High Quality

refractory manufacturer

We are a refractory material manufacturer, with four major factories: heavy brick factory, light brick factory, monolithic refractory factory and fused-cast brick factory.
We promise to provide you with high-quality refractory materials.

Product description of mullite brick

Mullite brick is a high alumina refractory with mullite (Al2O3-SiO2) as the main crystal phase. The average alumina content is between 65% and 75%. In addition to the mineral composition of mullite, the lower alumina also contains a small amount of glass and andalusite; The higher alumina contains a small amount of corundum. The high fire resistance can reach 1790 ℃. The starting temperature of load softening is 1600~1700 ℃. The room temperature compressive strength is 70~260MPa. Good thermal shock resistance.

Performance of mullite brick

  1. Good high temperature strength and thermal shock resistance.
  2. Resistance to most chemical attack&good stability in acid metal slag.
  3. Resist the attack of oxidation and furnace atmosphere.
  4. Anti abuse and good resistivity.
  5. Good thermal stability, the maximum use temperature is 1700 ˚ C。

Application of mullite brick

Mullite bricks use imported tabular corundum and high-purity fused corundum as the main raw materials, and adopt advanced superfine powder addition technology. After mixing, drying and shaping, it is fired in a high-temperature shuttle kiln. Therefore, mullite bricks are widely used in slag gasifiers, ammonia converters, carbon black reactors and refractory kilns, top of hot blast furnaces, stack and bottom of blast furnaces, regenerators of glass melting furnaces and ceramic high-temperature furnaces.
