Product introduction of magnesia chrome bricks

Magnesia chrome bricks are made from sintered magnesia, fused magnesia, and fused magnesia-chrome as raw materials, through high pressure molding, drying and high temperature firing.

Features of magnesia chrome bricks

The magnesia chrome brick has the characteristics of less impurities, high bulk density, good slag resistance, strong corrosion resistance, stable volume at high temperature, and good thermal shock resistance. The refractoriness of magnesia chrome bricks is above 2000 ℃, and the refractoriness under load is generally above 1550 ℃.

Application of magnesia chrome bricks

  • Cement industry: cement rotary kiln combustion area.
  • Metallurgical industry: refining ladle permanent layer, electric furnace top and other non-ferrous metal smelting furnaces.
  • Others: lime kiln or other high-temperature lining.

Introduction Bonded magnesia chrome brick

The directly bonded magnesia chrome brick is made of pure raw materials and high firing temperature. The so-called direct combination refers to the direct contact between chrome ore particles and magnesium oxide. SiO2 in raw materials is less (controlled at 1% – 25%), and the content of silicate is also less. Under high temperature firing, silicate is squeezed into the corner of solid particles.

Direct bonded magnesia chrome brick has the characteristics of high strength, good slag resistance, corrosion resistance, erosion resistance, corrosion resistance, good thermal shock stability, and good volume stability at 1800 ℃.

Introduction Fused magnesia chrome brick

Molten magnesia chrome brick is completely melted by putting the mixture of magnesia and chrome ore in the electric arc furnace, and then pouring the molten liquid into the refractory mold. Molten magnesia chrome brick has excellent high temperature strength and slag corrosion resistance.

The fused magnesia chrome brick is the same as the fused magnesia chrome material, with high density, good slag resistance, better slag resistance than the directly bonded magnesia chrome brick, but weak thermal shock resistance.
