Magnesia carbon brick is made of high-purity magnesium powder, carbon materials (including graphite) and tar pitch or resin through batching, hot mixing and molding, and calcined at about 300 ℃ or above 1000 ℃.

Features of magnesia carbon brick

As a composite refractory, magnesite carbon brick effectively utilizes the strong slag corrosion resistance of magnesite and the high thermal conductivity and low expansion of carbon, making up for the poor peeling resistance of magnesite. It has the characteristics of slag corrosion resistance, slag permeability, thermal shock stability and thermal conductivity.

Application of magnesia carbon brick

Magnesia carbon brick is mainly used for lining and tap hole of steelmaking oxidation converter, hot spot of high-power electric furnace wall, lining of refining furnace, slag line of steel barrel, etc.
