Product description of silicon insulation brick
Silicon insulation refractory brick generally adopts crystalline quartzite or silica sand as raw material, adding flammable substances in the ingredients, such as coke, anthracite, sawdust, carbonized rice husk or forming porous structure by gas foaming method. The refractories and softening temperature under load are not much different from those of ordinary silicon bricks with the same composition. But because there are many pores, the compressive strength, slag resistance and corrosion resistance are not as good as ordinary silicon bricks, and the thermal shock resistance has been improved.
Features of silicon insulation brick
Light weight silicon brick has excellent fire resistance, the softening temperature under load is close to that of compact silicon brick up to 1620℃, there is little residual expansion, and its thermal stability is better than that of compact silicon brick. Therefore, light silicon brick can be used for a long time without contact with slag at high temperature (1500-1550℃), suitable for large blast furnace supporting hot blast furnace lining, glass furnace gas insulation layer, etc.
