Features of dense corundum
Main crystal phase of high-density corundum α- Al2O3, light gray in color, has high melting point, high bulk density, low porosity, and excellent wear resistance, slag resistance, volume stability, and thermal shock resistance at high temperatures. It is the refractory material of corundum series refractory materials.
Applications of dense corundum
Dense corundum is widely used in iron and steel metallurgy, petrochemical, building materials ceramics and other industries. The refractory materials mainly from the taphole of the blast furnace are also used as the cohesive materials for brazing filler metals and main materials, and are also excellent materials for making long nozzles, slides, and various corundum tiles.
