We are a refractory material manufacturer, with four major factories: heavy brick factory, light brick factory, monolithic refractory factory and fused-cast brick factory.
We promise to provide you with high-quality refractory materials.
Product introduction of high alumina brick
High alumina brick usually refers to the brick whose Al2O3 content exceeds 48% of the refractory brick. It is mainly made of advanced natural bauxite mastic, with soft clay or semi soft clay added into the mud as the configuration binder, and then formed, dried and baked into a refractory brick.
Features of high alumina brick
- Fire resistance
The refractoriness of high alumina bricks is higher than that of clay bricks and semi silica bricks, reaching 1750~1790 ℃, belonging to advanced refractory materials. - Load softening temperature
Because of high Al2O3 content in high alumina products, less impurities and less fusible glass, the load softening temperature is higher than that of clay bricks. However, since mullite crystals do not form reticular structure, the load softening temperature is still lower than that of silica bricks. - Slag resistance
High alumina bricks contain more Al2O3, which is close to neutral refractories and can resist the corrosion of acid slag and alkaline slag. Because it contains SiO2, the ability to resist alkaline slag is weaker than that of acid resistant slag.
