Product description of Bauxite
Bauxite can be divided into three categories: bauxite raw materials, light burned bauxite and bauxite clinker. It is divided into aggregate or powder according to its particle size. The main component is aluminum oxide, which is a kind of hydrated aluminum oxide containing impurities and a kind of earthy mineral.
Features of Bauxite
Because Bauxite contains iron, it is white or grayish white, yellowish brown or light red. Bauxite density is about 3.9-4g/cm3, hardness is about 1-3, opaque and fragile. Oleic acid is extremely insoluble, insoluble in water, but soluble in oleic acid and sodium hydroxide solution.
Applications of Bauxite
- Aluminum smelting industry.
- Investment casting. Bauxite is cast after fine powder processing.
- For refractory products. The refractory of bauxite clinker reaches 1780 ℃, with strong chemical stability and good physical properties.
- Aluminum silicate refractory fiber. It has the advantages of light weight, high temperature resistance, good thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, small heat capacity, and large mechanical vibration resistance.
